Climb Atlas is a free, crowd-built map of places to climb — indoor bouldering gyms and gyms with top-rope and lead walls. It's built in the spirit of sites like Track Atlas: instead of one team trying to track every gym forever, the map is kept current by the people who actually climb at these places.
Each pin is colour-coded by what's on offer there — indoor bouldering or top rope. A pin split into wedges means a spot offers more than one. Use the checkboxes to filter by country/state, by type, or by your own climbed/bookmarked marks.
The initial set of spots was researched and cross-checked gym by gym — names, suburbs, addresses, and what kind of climbing is actually on offer — rather than pulled from one source and trusted blindly. It's still not exhaustive, and gyms open, close, move, and rebrand. From here, the map grows and gets corrected by the community.
New spots and edits go into a review queue — a moderator approves or rejects them before they're visible to everyone else. An edited spot keeps showing its current info on the map until that edit is approved, so nothing unreviewed goes live in the meantime.
Sign in (Google or an email magic link) to mark spots as climbed or bookmarked. These marks are private to your account — nobody else can see what you've climbed or saved.
